The role she played as the wife of Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything earned her an Oscar nomination in the very first. Jones was Stephen Hawking's second wife this biopic, received lots of praise from critics and viewers for the way she portrayed her. She was then seen in Inferno which was a horror film that starred Tom Hanks. Jones received her British Artist of 2016 award from the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles, due to her extraordinary talent and contribution.
